De exemplu o Skoda Octavia 2.0 TDI, din 2018 cu 73.000 de km la bord are un pret de 15.300 de euro. In timp ce o Skoda Octavia 1.6 diesel, din 2014 cu 240.000 de km are un pret de 8500 euro.

Feb 12, 2011. #1. My car won't start. I went to the local bank, and when I came back out, it wouldn't start up. I checked the anti shutter valve, and it seems ok. I did a quick fuel check (only one line) and it was getting fuel. I checked the timing belt from the top and it seems OK (I'm not sure on how to do a thorough inspection of the belt).
Pity that Skoda never bothered with rubbish batteries in Mk3 Fabia so that Stop / Start is more often inhibited than working in those small family hatches. What happened to VW Group so far with VW Group in the UK with Type Approval of Euro 5 TDI's that might or might not comply with Type Approval if the get the fix which is voluntary.

I’ve had a 1.6 tdi and it was ok, but I wouldn’t go back from my 1.4 tsi. For the minimal mpg gains that the diesel gives, the petrols are quieter, and smoother than than the 1.6 tdi and still decent on fuel. The fact is the dpf regens harm the overall average mpg.
Glow plugs there days work almost instantaniously so unless you are starting at -10°, -20°, -30° you probably wont see it. Especially if you get in & start the car directly because of the usual light check (which lasts about a second) the glow plug is already up to temperature by then so wont stay illuminated.
